October News
First Friday Mass
First Friday mass will be celebrated at St. Camillus RC Church on October 7, 2016 at 9:00 AM. Our 7th and 1st grades are hosting, please join us.
Virtus Training
Those who attended Virtus on Sunday can now begin their service hours! Make sure you contact the office so we can place you on our Master List. Those who did not attend Virtus at St Camillus, can find other sites to complete the workshop to do service, attend trips, and classroom events. Sign up at www.vitrus.org and register / find a site.
Terra Nova Standardized Testing
Terra Nova testing will begin on October 11th and end on October 21th. The students in grades 3-8 will be testing during these two weeks. There is plenty of time to take the different exams. We are creating a schedule to spread them out over the 9 days and have time for any make up exams. Students will not receive homework on nights before testing . Make sure they come to school with sharpened #2 pencils and eraser. Get plenty of rest and eat a good breakfast. We want our students to do their very best. Terra nova is a standardized test of achievement. Unlike the State exams these are recorded on the permanent record card and it is these scores that the high schools request for admission.
Halloween
We are planning a Family Halloween party for Sunday, October 30th from 2 to 5 in Springman Hall. A separate invitation will come home in October.
On October 31st for School Spirit we will have Black and Orange day- wear both colors or just one in honor of All Hallow’s Eve, the day before the Feast of All Saints!!
Progress Reports
Progress reports will be generated through Option C and sent home for parent’s signature October 26th. Please return them on October 29th. This is the half-way point in the first marking period, and an indicator on your child’s progress.
