Happy new year to all of our families!    May 2018 bring you much happiness, health and joy.

Grade 8

The countdown has begun.   Graduation pictures will be taken on January 19th.   Please do not have your hair up in an elaborate “updo” hair style.  You must wear the graduation cap on your forehead, as this is the photo we, the academy, purchase for our graduation composite in your diploma case.  You will take other poses that you may prefer but this is the one we use.   Make sure your nails are clean as one pose has you holding an item. Girls may wear nail polish for this special day.

Catholic high schools will mail acceptance letters around January 16th !!! Public schools first round notifications are later in the year.

Our faculty will attend the Diocesan Data Day for professional development  on January 12th   there will be no school for the students in grades K to 8.   Enjoy the four day weekend!

Catholic Schools Week

CSW begins on Sunday, January 28th  with a family mass at Saint Camillus RC Church at 11:30 AM.  We hope that you attend this special mass in uniform where we celebrate our Catholic Academy. We are planning many fun activities all week.  We will close Catholic School Week by attending 4PM mass at St Virgilius in Broad Channel.  You are invited to attend this mass, in uniform, as well.   More information on Catholic School Week-CSW-will follow in a separate flyer in January.

Remember our By the Sea Card Party is on Friday, February 2nd  in Springman Hall  Every family is required to donate a prize valued at $25.00minimum.  Please send in you prize after the New Year.  This is our biggest fundraiser of the year – our President of the HAA Stacey Haggerty is chairing this event.  Let’s make it fabulous!!!  Come and support the academy by buying a table or a ticket to enter.  Lots of fun is had by all, and we have wonderful prizes to win.   If you signed up to work the event- look for an email on your assignment.
